Welcome to the Elliott Music Studio– a blog that strives to enrich people's lives with music.
Back in 2001, I opened my mail and found a flyer for a church music director position at my home church with an invitation to apply. I had just started my second semester of college as a voice & music education double major with the hopes to have my own choral program someday. I decided that day that I would kick myself if I did not take advantage of this unique opportunity. So, that week I took the plunge and applied. My musical life has never been the same since.
Why the Elliott Music Studio Blog? When I started this blog in February 2008 I wasn't sure this was something that I could keep up with or even do. I had been a musician all of my life but not much of a writer. I have since learned quite a bit about what it takes to have a successful music blog and now I am loving sharing what I'm reading; what I'm working on; what musical ideas I am passionate about with others by blogging here each week I have created a forum to share my thoughts on more than just music. It's about the sounds, the people, and the experiences that inspire me, every day, to do what I love. "Enriching people's lives with music."

In 2011, I decided to explore what it would take to start to make a little money with my blog so I could cover my time and add some much needed income for my family. I have added a few Amazon affiliate links where I feel they are relevant and helpful. I also have added a PayPal donate button on the upper left hand corner of this page so that those who feel so moved can donate to the cause. I am excited about writing my first e-book and self publishing my own music album in the near future.
I hope you enjoy the Elliott Music Studio Blog!
