"I’ve always considered it a great privilege to be a musician, I’ve never lost sight of that." ~Natalie Merchant
What I'm reading; what I'm working on; what musical ideas I am passionate about. It's a forum to share my thoughts on more than just music. It's about the sounds, the people, and the experiences that inspire me, every day, to do what I love. "Enriching people's lives with music."

Video of the Week: Natalie Merchant on TED
I stumbled upon this video this week and was so excited to see that Natalie Merchant was working on a new project. At a February 2010 TED Talk, she sang from her new album, Leave Your Sleep. For the past five years, Merchant has been researching, writing and recording a collection of songs adapted from near-forgotten 19th-century works of classic and contemporary poets. This is such a unique work and performance. Enjoy!
